El Dolor is an original Americana quintet born along the banks of the Western Mutual Ditch in LaSalle, Colorado, nestled on a quiet plot of land among the alfalfa crop circles and oil pumps of Weld County.

Take some traditional folk and country spices, stew them in a pot of Texas punk, and wash them down with some heartachey moonshine and you'll get a little taste of what this quintet has to offer. The din of distorted guitar, gritty vocals, and impassioned violin are rooted in melodic bass lines and blistering rhythms, with dynamics that will take you from your lone seat at the bar into the center of a flatland tornado and back.

El Dolor has shared the stage with many national acts, including Clem Snide, The Vandoliers, Chris Knight, and Jason Boland and the Stragglers.
