It's time once again for the annual Greeley Block Party! We must have done something right because they invited us back to play another season. Showtime is at 7pm at Tightknit Brewing. We'll play until 8, and then Derek will put down his guitar and hop on behind the drums to play a set with his blues band, The Bluelligans. Be sure to stick around for the whole set!

Saturday, Sept 14, we're hosting an evening with El Dolor at Frolic Brewery in Broomfield from 6p-9p. Come enjoy some craft beverages and food on the enclosed outdoor patio, while we play a relaxed three hour set of old favorites and some new ones. Three hours is a lot of time to fill, so who knows what might get pulled out of our collective arses to help us fill some time. Frolic is located at 12910 Zuni St, #1300 in Broomfield.

We're excited to be hosting Skylark Lounge's Western Wednesdays on August 14th! This will be a FREE show and it's such a cool bar in the heart of Denver, just two blocks from Broadway and Alameda. Skylark is a 21+ venue, so no kiddos, no exceptions. Upstairs is the Bobcat Club, where you can play pool, shuffleboard and darts in a 50's-vibe with checkerboard floors, old-timey barstools, and a Rock-Ola Peacock jukebox. Bobcat is rated #5 best billiards in Denver! Downstairs is where the magic will be happening - we'll be playing from 9:15 - 11pm. Come on down to this true dive bar that's been rocking Broadway since 1943!

Another new venue for us is the Velvet Elk Lounge - a hot venue in Boulder! The Velvet Elk is a shotgun-style space with the stage all the way down at the end. We'll be opening up for the Taylor Scott Band, who play "roots-rock, funk, soul, and troubadour-style Americana."

While we take a little break to allow the band some time to take a few personal trips and catch up on life, we're also in the process of putting together some new merch and record some new tunes! We've laid down the scratch tracks for 11 songs, and we're shopping local t-shirt vendors.

UPCOMING SHOWS

We just locked in a show on May 24 at 100 Nickel in Broomfield. Yes, it's a bowling alley! They have a killer "Live on the Lanes" series where they throw up a stage across three bowling lanes, with a great sound system and lights. You can bowl, drink, snack, and of course rock out as the El Dolorians that you are. We're pleased to welcome  Thieves Cant, a killer alt-country/Americana/Roots/Rockabilly cover band, to join us.

We've also booked a massive 4th of July party out on a big piece of land up in Greeley. Drones, fireworks, whole roasted pig BBQ, and El Dolor. More info on that as we get closer to the date.

The National Western Stock Show has been a Denver tradition for over hundred years, bringing in hundreds of thousands of people to Denver's National Western Complex. Just down the street is Number 3, a western-themed eatery and venue, now puttng on their fourth Annual Bison Days festival. With live music every night and day, games and vendors, and free shuttles to and from the National Western Complex, it's become a party hub for the stock show.

This year El Dolor was invited to bring the house down on Sunday night, January 14th at 7pm!

This will be a FREE show! So get yer frilly chaps on, shine up those boots, and come celebrate all things rodeo with El Dolor and a few hundred thousand of your new friends!

We got a last-minute call to join the fabulous Chris Knight for a night of acoustic music at the Moxi in Greeley! The night starts with Josh and Derek of El Dolor, followed by Memphis Kee from Austin, Texas, and then Chris Knight!

We're excited to be sharing the stage with Cousin Curtiss: former-Alaskan-teacher-turned-solo-artist.

This is an all-ages show. Doors open at 7pm, El Dolor starts promptly at 8pm.

Hey, Greeley, we're baaaack! September 8 we've got a special show at TightKnit Brewing as part of the Annual Greeley Block Party. We'll be sharing the floor with our friends in Blueford T. Justice. This will be an extra special treat because our singer, Derek, will ALSO be playing drums with the Blueford crew! The show goes from 6:30p - 9pm. Be sure to come out early and stay for the whole thing!

We're excited to be bringing the rock to back to Greeley this April 28 with Bryce Evans and the Black Cats! The show takes place "Live on the Lanes," right on TOP of the bowling lanes.
